“Taking time for everything is a choice”

“Taking time for everything is a choice,” a statement from my teacher QingBo Sui, and that is exactly what you do when practicing Tai Chi Quan and Tai Chi Qigong: taking the time to move from a state of rest, whereby you continuously focus your attention on the movement and let your breath follow the rhythm of the movement. With this way of moving, you improve your health: you become better balanced, both physically and mentally; you learn to focus, relax, build strength, become aware of what is happening in your body, and strengthen your immune system.

Balance – Energy – Focus – Relaxation – Awareness – Flexibility – Strength – From compassion with yourself

You don’t need anything but yourself to practice Tai Chi and Qigong. It is accessible and can be practiced by anyone, regardless of age or physical limitations.

But words don’t say enough; only after a period can you feel what it really does to you. That is why I invite you to experience for yourself what this form of movement can achieve for you.

Lessons of Tai Chi Balans en Energie

Tai Chi Balans en Energie teaches Tai Chi Quan and Tai Chi Qigong in Aalst-Waalre and Valkenswaard.

Small groups, quality over quantity, personal attention, that is what you will find in the weekly lessons of Tai Chi Balans en Energie. The lessons are held during the day and in the evening, in the hall or outside (when the weather permits).
Lesson schedule

Tai Chi Qigong can also be followed online, from your own place anywhere in the world, both during streamed lessons or via the film recordings at a time that suits you. Workshops for companies or as a group outing with friends or family are also possible.

About Marja

My name is Marja Nieuwland, and I live, together with my husband and our two sons, in Aalst-Waalre. I am grateful that this beautiful form of movement has come my way. It has brought me a lot, and I wholeheartedly wish the same for others. It’s wonderful to be able to keep learning, to continue with education, and to be able to pass it on.

Subscriptions and costs

  • The year is divided into 3 lesson blocks:
  • Block 1: January until the May holidays
  • Block 2: end of May holidays until the summer holidays
  • Block 3: end of the summer holidays until the Christmas holidays

Each lesson block can be chosen from the various subscription types that suit you best in that block. Below, you can read brief information about the various subscriptions and the associated rates.

Group lessons:

  • Weekly subscription, costs are € 11,50 per lesson
  • Flexible subscription, weekly basic amount of € 5,75, payable in advance, with an additional fee of € 8,90 for each lesson you take, payable afterwards

Both the weekly and flexible subscriptions are valid during a lesson block.

Online lessons, to be concluded per month:

  • A monthly subscription, in combination with a group lesson subscription, costs € 10,00 per month
  • For an online subscription only, the costs are € 25,00 per month

Trial Subscription:

  • Group lesson trial subscription, costs are € 62,30 for 7 lessons (valid for max 7 weeks), including use of online options
  • Only online trial subscriptions costs € 25,00 for 7 weeks of lessons
